Visual Electrophysiology

RETeval® by LKC Technologies is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive electrodiagnostic test that measures how the retina responds to light. During the test, a small handheld device delivers controlled flashes of light while comfortable skin sensor strips placed around the eye gently record the retina’s electrical response. The test is painless, takes just a few minutes to complete, and does not require dilation.

​​​​​​​RETeval® provides objective information about retinal function that complements the findings of a comprehensive eye examination. It may be particularly useful when evaluating or monitoring patients with diabetes, glaucoma, retinal disorders such as macular degeneration, vascular conditions, and other diseases that may affect retinal function. By measuring the retina’s response to light, RETeval® gives our doctors an additional objective tool to evaluate retinal function, monitor changes over time, and help guide further evaluation and management when needed.
